Director of Speech Language Pathology
Misty has been working in the field of Speech-Language Pathology for over 16 years with an emphasis in Early Intervention. Misty received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders and a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University, Fresno. She is an ASHA certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for over 15 years.
Misty has experience working with children and adults of all ages in a variety of settings, including hospitals, public schools, preschools and homes. Her areas of interest and special training include working with early intervention and preschool children with autism spectrum disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, phonological disorders, hearing impairments, including those with cochlear implants.
Misty has attended specialized training and continuing education courses, including Professional Preparation in Cochlear Implants (PPCI), Pivotal Response Training (PRT), PROMPT training, Hanen training, and Picture Exchange Communication Skills (PECS) Level 1 and 2 training.
